Sweden hosts four FP5 information days in April

A series of information days addressing the different programmes under the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) is being organized in Sweden during April 1999.

A series of information days addressing the different programmes under the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) is being organized in Sweden during April 1999.

Information days concerning "Improving Human Research Potential" will be held in Lund on 19 April 1999 as well as in Gothenburg on 20 April 1999. This event is being organized by the Swedish European Union R&D Council in association with the Swedish Natural Science Research Council.

"Quality of Life" will be discussed during an information day in Stockholm on 21 April 1999. The following Key Actions will be considered:

- Food, Nutrition and Health;
- The Cell Factory;
- Sustainable Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

This event is being organized by the Swedish EU-R&D Council in cooperation with the Swedish Council for Forestry and Agricultural Research.

Additionally an information day on "Environment and Sustainable Development" will be held in Stockholm on 15 April. Arranged in cooperation with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, this last event aims to raise the awareness of this particular thematic programme and to encourage Swedish researchers and companies to participate. This event will cover four Key Actions:

- Sustainable Management and Quality of Water;
- Global Change, Climate and Biodiversity;
- Sustainable Marine Ecosystems;
- City of Tomorrow and Cultural Heritage.
