The European Commission, DG XIII for Telecommunications, Markets, Technologies - Innovation and Exploitation of Research, is sponsoring a conference between 9 and 11 May 1999 entitled "East-West Collaboration in the Development of Interactive Media Products". The event will take place in Lake Balaton in Hungary.
It will focus on Key Action III - Multimedia Content and Tools - of the Information Society Technologies (IST) programme of the European Union's Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) for Research, Technological development and Demonstration (RTD). The event will cover the Electronic Publishing-related themes of authoring and design systems, content management and customization, as well as education, training and digital preservation of cultural heritage.
