ACCESS4EU Initiative, ICT workshop in Budapest , Hungary

A thematic workshop on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) will be held in Budapest, May 20, 2011. Venue: Hungexpo, Pavilion B, between 14-17:00 hrs.

The workshop will have a country focus on ICT opportunities available to European participation in the following countries:

 United States of America

International Cooperation
International Cooperation is an important pillar of the European S&T policy. Strategic partnerships with non-EU countries in selected fields of science is a major priority for the EU, enabling the transfer of scientific knowledge and fostering synergies on a global scale.


ACCESS4EU Projects
The ACCESS4EU projects aim to increase European researchers’ awareness on Research, Technology, Development and Innovatin (RTDI) projects in the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, South Korea and the United States of America.


Objectives of the Workshop
 To serve as a platform for discussion and dissemination of the ICT research and cooperation opportunities for European researchers & SMEs, offered by third countries.

 To deliver a general overview on ICT research cooperation between Europe and targeted third countries.

 Exchanges of views will generate new cooperation impulses and communicate new research ideas and priorities amongst researchers, policy makers and representatives of the private sector.

 The views that will be expressed during the workshop will be used as feedback to the EC.
