Technology Development in European Academia Event in Manchester, UK
(1) To provide a showcase of technology development undertaken by academics in the ERA-Instruments partner countries (the UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Iceland, the Czech Republic, Greece Spain and Estonia).
(2) To provide an opportunity for technology developers in EU academic institutions to network with other academic technology developers, technology users and the private sector, to encourage exchange of best practice and the formation of collaborations in preparation for bids to Framework or national funding schemes.
The intended audience are technology developers and users from the UK and EU.
All delegates would be required to present a poster or an audiovisual demonstration of their technology or user requirements at this meeting. These would be describing:
• For technology developers; the technology being developed, the potential user-base etc.
• For users; the scientific challenges which require new technologies and methodologies to overcome.
We regret we will be unable to accommodate live technology demonstrations of technology at the venue but welcome videos or other audio-visual demonstrations of technology. These presentations and demonstrations will be held on the first day, with the second being concerned with presentations on technology development in a variety of areas, plus a panel discussion.
