Innovation and Resource Efficiency

With the support of the European Commission, and on the occasion of DG Research and Innovation’s morning conference Innovation for Stronger Regions: Opportunities in FP7 on July 14th, Invest NI and the Northern Ireland Executive Office in Brussels are organising an afternoon event on Research and Innovation for Resource Efficiency Europe (REE).

Other research organisations from across Europe will take part in this networking session, which will take place in presence of European Commission officials.

It will be a unique occasion to meet with relevant R&D and innovation stakeholders, establish key contacts and explore project building in the framework of European research programmes – particularly FP7 calls to be released by the end of July.

The primary objective of the event is to set up new, strategic links between R&D and innovation players in view of forthcoming FP7 calls, relevant to resource efficiency and sustainable technologies (e.g. FP7 Energy, KBBE, Regions of Knowledge, etc.).

Another objective is to foster partnerships between players already active in research and innovation EU programmes, and others who have been less familiar with EU research programmes up to now.
