Entitled "Emerging Solutions to Old Problems", the event will focus on competitive intelligence and knowledge management, and the challenges for the information community. The conference is aimed to help attendees to learn about the revolution in the information world. It is intended to improve understanding of the increased convergence between the worlds of knowledge management and competitive intelligence, and outline the ways in which tools, techniques and expertise are rapidly diffusing into efficient knowledge engines. These, the AGSI says, will enable smart organisations to both dominate and benefit from increasing data flows that could easily overwhelm the ill-prepared.The event will include the following courses:- Rethinking intelligence: Good strategy decisions from data, assumptions and conjecture. An interactive one day strategy course. (Instructor: Mark Chussil);- Business blind spots: Fighting competitive sclerosis. An interactive one-day course. (Instructor Ben Gilad). It will also be divided into the following sessions:- 1: Intelligence on networks;- 2: Knowledge management and competitive intelligence;- 3: Automation to keep on top of information flow;- 4: Business intelligence and sources. For further information, please contact:1999 AGSI ConferenceInfonortics15 Market PlaceTetbury GL8 8DDUKTel. +44-1666-505772; Fax +44-1666-505774E-mail: agsi@infonortics.comURL: www.infonortics.com/agsi/
