The final workshop of the European Commission, Directorate General VII's TENASSESS (Policy Assessment of Trans-European Networks & common transport policy) project will be held on 17 and 18 May 1999 in Vienna.

TENASSESS has developed a methodology to assess policies for trans-European networks and common transport policy. The methodology of case studies will be presented at the event, which is aimed to address the following questions:

- What is the meaning of "sustainable mobility"?
- Is there a common transport policy?
- What is the contribution of European transport research?

ICCR (Inter-Capital and Regional Rail) and ERRI (European Rail Research Institute) are organizing the event.
