Transport and Air Pollution conference aims to exchange scientific knowledge
The eighth symposium on "Transport and Air Pollution" is being held in Graz, Austria, from 31 May to 2 June 1999. This event will include the final conference of COST Action 319 (European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research), "Estimation of Pollutant Emissions from Transport".
The Transport and Air Pollution conference will provide an opportunity to take stock of European activities in transport and air pollution research. Its aim is to promote the high quality exchange of scientific knowledge.
The following topics will be discussed during the conference:
- Technological aspects - vehicle emissions and control technologies;
- Air pollution caused by traffic;
- Pollution dispersion in rural and urban areas;
- Air quality values and impact on the environment;
- Urban air quality modelling;
- Traffic planning as a means of influencing traffic and emissions.
