Event will discuss and evaluate the "indecs" project

An evaluation conference on the European Commission's "indecs" project will be held in London on 7 and 8 July 1999. This event will present the "indecs" metadata model and discuss its use in both a commercial and operational context.

Indecs is an international collaborative project, supported by the European Commission under the INFO2000 programme. It seeks to develop a framework of standards and service specifications to support network commerce based on intellectual property.

During the conference, participants will examine how the indecs schema can be applied to e-commerce applications in all sectors of the content industry, such as text, graphics, music, recording, audiovisual and software.

The conference is aimed at those with responsibility for the implementation of e-commerce strategies within any sector of the content industry and also those responsible for developing tools for managing metadata and e-commerce systems on behalf of the content industry.
