Training Course “Marie Curie and ERC: project design and management" in Milan, Italy

This two-and-a-half day training course is designed to provide participants with an overview of the main features of PEOPLE and IDEAS specific programmes. Particular attention will be devoted to the changes introduced by the Work Programme 2012, to fiscal issues, financial rules, contractual good practices, and to the new Financial Guidelines published by REA in summer 2011.

The following topics will be dealt with in relation to both specific programmes:

− General introduction to Marie Curie and ERC actions
− Practical hints for drafting successful project proposals
− Grant Agreement structure and relevant annexes
− Contractual good practices
− Financial regulations: analysis of eligible and ineligible costs
− Grant management: contributions' calculation and allocation
− Bookkeeping, accounting records, timesheets, cost recording
− Project reporting (SESAM and FORCE)
− Fiscal and social security issues.

Furthermore, part of the course will be devoted to the illustration of the Commission's proposal on the Rules for Participation to Horizon 2020.

The course specifically addresses the needs of professionals and project managers who are involved in the management of FP7 projects, both in the private and the public sector. The course can be an effective tool to help participants to successfully manage projects, as well as to further develop their internal project management strategies. It can also provide a good opportunity to network and to share good practices.
