Biogas Upgrading and Grid Injection at Milan Convention Center MiCo, Italy

The special event of the 20th EU BC&E on “Biogas upgrading and grid injection” addresses the main challenges for further biomethane development in Europe. The upgrading of biogas to biomethane for feed-in to the natural gas grid or for use as vehicle fuel is gaining in interest and importance worldwide. More than 150 plants are already in operation and many are under construction or in the planning stage.

20 June 2012 - 20 June 2012
Austria
During this one-day-event we will elucidate the state of biogas upgrading along the overall value-chain with a special focus on Europe. During the first session relevant framework conditions for the production of biomethane will be described. A special feature will be a comprehensive technology overview of biogas cleaning, upgrading and exhaust gas treatment technologies from relevant stakeholders. Within these two sessions the participants will gain a detailed insight to the state of the art as well as getting information of new developments. In the last session selected lecturers will describe relevant themes around the topic “utilization of biomethane”. It is our aim to give the participants a comprehensive, global and related to practice overview on biogas upgrading to biomethane.

This special event on ‘Biogas upgrading to biomethane’ provides to-date analysis and answers for the current biomethane framework conditions and development in Europe and worldwide.
