The second international trade fair for innovative materials, processes and applications, MATERIALICA, will be held in Munich, Germany, from 27 to 30 September, 1999, alongside the established technical congress EUROMAT.

MATERIALICA will present key technologies and innovative applications for materials to participants from all over the world. At the first event in 1998 about 250 exhibitors from over 15 countries were represented.

In contrast to the specialised trade fairs it sets out the competitive advantages of materials of all kinds, providing a unique perspective for materials in Europe.

Material specialists from research institutes, universities and authorities will be present, particularly in the following fields: information engineering, automobile technology, rail vehicles, aviation and aerospace, energy technology, production engineering, chemistry and medical engineering.

CORDIS will be among the exhibitors at the MATERIALICA fair. Participants will be able to promote their new technologies and research results on the CORDIS results service free of charge, or access the Fifth Framework Programme Information Service, in particular information on the Competitive and Sustainable Growth programme.

Running parallel to MATERIALLICA is EUROMAT, the special congress organised by the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS) in cooperation with WERKSTOFFWOCHE.

EUROMAT provides a unique overview of top European research and new product developments in key technologies. Already over 16,000 papers have been received for this key European event.

Participants must register separately for both events, but congress participants are able to enter MATERIALICA for free.
