EUJO-LIMMS Information Day - Nano and Micro Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland

On December 12,2012 the FP7-INCOLAB project EUJO-LIMMS (EU Japan Opening of LIMMS-Laboratory for Integrated Micro Mechatronic Systems), will organize its first Information Day at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (Switzerland).

12 Diciembre 2012 - 12 Diciembre 2012
Austria
EUJO-LIMMS is supported by the European Union 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7). The project aims at reinforcing research collaboration between Europe and Japan to tackle new challenges in micro and nanotechnologies. Its strategy consists in opening the activity of the Laboratory for Integrated Micro Mechatronic Systems (LIMMS), Joint Unit between CNRS and IIS-The University of Tokyo, located in Tokyo, to 3 European partners:
• Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland,
• University of Freiburg - Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) in Germany,
• Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT).
The hosted European researchers develop joint projects for new applications in flexible electronics, optics, nanotechnology, molecular and cellular bio-engineering. At mid-project a call will be organised to extend the collaboration to European researchers from other Member States or Associated Countries.

On December 12, 2012, EUJO-LIMMS will organize its first Information Day at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, in Switzerland. EUJO-LIMMS project results as well as emerging scientific challenges and future collaborations will be presented. In view of the opening of EUJO-LIMMS to a 4th partner in 2013/2014, an active involvement from other EU research institutions is encouraged in all sessions organised.
To participate in the event, please email your name, affiliation, and position by November 30, 2012 to Nathalie Frances, EUJO-LIMMS project manager: frances@iis.u-tokyo.ac.jp
