INSEC Project: Exchanging success to innovate

The INSEC project is striving to improve the Innovation and Research processes within security organisations, enabling them to evaluate novel approaches and services as well as new technologies dedicated to the safety of citizens.

13 March 2013
Austria
The INSEC project is striving to improve the Innovation and Research processes within security organisations, enabling them to evaluate novel approaches and services as well as new technologies dedicated to the safety of citizens.

The project will focus on two main areas:
• Development of a new internal innovation management model which will allow security organisations to better manage both the financial impacts and the added value of innovation projects.
• Development of an external innovation platform to promote networking between European security SMEs and public/private security organisations. This will increase the visibility of SMEs to the security organisations and hence diversify the range of services and technologies available to them.

Two major European-scale events will be organised to share good practices in the field of innovation management and dissemination and training activities will be implemented with the help of e-learning training modules developed within the project.

In the scope of these activities, the INSEC project will organise the workshop “EXCHANGE OF BEST PRACTICES ON IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATION MANAGEMENT WITHIN SECURITY ORGANISATIONS IN EUROPE”, 13th of March 2013 from 09:00 to 16:00, Oslo, Norway.
The workshop will focus on exchange of best practices and promotion of best practices. A brief agenda is as follows (a buffet lunch will be served):
• Brief overview of INSEC and presentations of achievements so far
• Summary and information regarding Best Practices collected so far
• Best Practice Presentations by identified end-user Security organisations, focusing on how they innovate, which methods and techniques they use, etc.
• Expert Panel feedback sessions
The workshop will be organised as an interactive event giving participants the opportunity for discussion and exchange of experience. Speakers will include: INSEC Partners; External Innovation Experts; Security end-user representatives of best practices.

This event will take place as part of Sectech Norway (www.sectech.nu/no)
