HEALTH CONNECT Conference on Innovations for Healthy Lifestyles in Stuttgart, Germany

The main focus of the conference is the prevention of lifestyle related diseases such as obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome. Top-researchers in nutrition and physical activity will present latest findings, best practises are exchanged.

In the decades to come, health and healthy societeis will become a mega topic. Here, technological innovations as well as nutritional innovations will be the keys to support healthy lifestyles. Experts of health research and researchers in the field of physical activity, nutrition, public health specialists and worksite health promoters as well as developers of web-based solutions and app-medicine from all over Europe will meet on 7 to 8 May 2013 in Stuttgart for the conference “HEALTH CONNECT”.

They will be joined by public health policy-makers on national, regional and local level as well as by members of the European Commission, including top experts and practitioners in innovation, social sciences and communication. Their common topic: “Better lifestyle and improved health management at work, in school and families.”

300 - 400 visitors are expected, 27 high-level contributions (keynotes, presentations, workshops, debates & interaction on technology and knowledge transfer, networking, exhibition stands)

The conference is co-organized by the FP-7-funded project "afresh", the University of Stuttgart and the Economic Development Coproration Stuttgart Region.
