InsideFood Symposium
The InsideFood Symposium is organised by the MeBioS division and the Leuven Food Science and Nutrition Research Centre (LFoRCe) of the University of Leuven (KU leuven, Belgium) within the framework of EU-FP7-project ‘InsideFood’ and COST action FA1001 ‘The application of innovative fundamental food-structure-property relationships to the design of foods for health, wellness and pleasure’.
The event is chaired by Prof. Bart Nicolaï (KU Leuven, BE, project coordinator InsideFood) and Prof. Laura Piazza (University of Milan, IT, Chair of COST Action FA1001).
The programme will include key note contributions from worldwide experts in food engineering and sensor technology: Prof. José Aguilera (PUC, Chile), Sune Svanberg (Lund University, Sweden), Raffaele Mezzenga (ETH-Zürich, Switzerland), Kjeld van Bommel (TNO, The Netherlands) and Stefan Kaufmann (Nestlé Research Center Lausanne, Switzerland). Over 100 oral and poster contributions will show the latest developments in the fields of microscopy, tomography, spectroscopy and spectral imaging, modelling and simulation, structure-property relationships and food structure engineering.
Several European technology companies will exhibit their cutting edge developments in food structure imaging equipment.
