Creating New Business Opportunities for SMEs in the Life Sciences Area: Are you Already Prepared for H2020 in the Health Sector?

“Fit for Health” is organising an international strategy conference focused on how SMEs could take a sustainable benefit from the participation in Horizon 2020. The event will take place on 13 June 2013 in Brussels, Belgium, and is connected to a strategy development workshop for life science executives.

Several opportunities will be depicted for the long term strategy of SMEs to get prepared in time for the new framework program. Opportunities offered in the relevant Challenges and KETs, the new SME-instrument, as well as possibilities and support offered by related initiatives will presented by representatives from the European Commission. Moreover, successful SMEs will report about their experiences.

SMEs and academic researchers active in the Life Sciences sector (pharma, biotech, med-tech, healthcare, e-health, etc.) have the opportunity to discuss with many stakeholders like representatives from the European Commission, governmental and regional representatives from the member states, national contact points, representatives from related initiatives & support measures, representatives from JTIs and European Technology Platforms, Enterprise Europe Network, representatives from technology transfer offices, experts on IPR, experts from the finance sector (venture capitalists and business angels), interested representatives form universities and representatives from patient organisations.

The participation is free of charge.
