The Internet Society is seeking contributions for INET 2000, a conference to be held in Yokohama, Japan, on 18 to 21 July 2000 on the subject 'Global distributed knowledge for everyone'.

It will be the tenth annual gathering of the Internet Society and will be dedicated to examining new innovations and developments. As ever it is an opportunity for 'the world's cyberspace pioneers' to meet, exchange experiences and plane their next steps. Network technologists, industry and government representatives and policy experts are all expected to attend.

This year the themes of the conference are: Internet infrastructure technologies; Internet science and technology for the 21st century, mobile Internet and IP home electronics; interactive, multimedia, innovative contents (with full demonstrations); biomedical issues; education; e-commerce and e-business; and regulation, policy and governance. Papers are now invited on any of the above topics, to be submitted by 1 October 1999.
