The school is aimed at a doctoral and post-doctoral audience, and will cover topics related to complex spatiotemporal phenomena from both theoretical and experimental points of view. The course should provide a comprehensive overview of the subject, from applied mathematics to signal analysis, including laser control, chemical reactions etc. There will be four lecture days, consisting of tutorials given by invited lecturers, while the fifth day will be given over to original presentations from participants (oral or posters).
The proceedings will be published as a special issue of International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos.
A limited number of grants are available to help participants under the age of 35 from EU states and other countries associated to the Fifth Framework Programme to attend. This funding is provided under the EU's Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) programme, part of the Fourth Framework Programme.
