User Feedback Survey of the European IPR Helpdesk

The European IPR Helpdesk is collecting feedback from users of its services, and feedback on European needs on Intellectual Property (IP). Feedback may be given at:

The European IPR Helpdesk is the official IP service of the European Commission, coordinated by the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI) and funded under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP).

The European IPR Helpdesk offers first-line and free of charge IP advice and support to European SMEs, and to participants in the trans-national EU-funded research and technological development (RTD) framework programmes (FP6, FP7). The scope of support extends to countries that participate in the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP), and FP7 International Cooperation (FP7-INCO).

Since March 2011 the European IPR Helpdesk has:
- delivered awareness-raising actions at 73 events in over 20 countries to more than 2,000 participants,
- created 9 training modules, at 3 levels, for SMEs and RTD Programme participants,
- delivered 64 training events in 19 EU and CIP countries to over 6,000 participants,
- given first-line IP advice to over 2,000 users in 57 countries,
- published 210 newsletters, 28 fact sheets, 9 bulletins, and multiple training materials and on-line tools (case studies, quizzes, IP guidelines, FAQs, glossary, useful links, etc.) on its website,
- ambassadors from 17 countries to date, and
- cooperated with innovation support and IP actors including:
-- the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN),
-- the National Contact Points (NCPs) for FP7,
-- the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and
-- SME networks and Industry associations,
to name but a few.

The European IPR Helpdesk would like to collect feedback from users of its services on their experiences and their perceived needs for other support in the area of intellectual property.
