European Paper Week kicks off in Brussels from 24 to 26 November 1999. The week is an initiative, launched by the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI), aimed to make Brussels a focal point for the paper industry on an annual basis.

During this three-day event, industry representatives will have the opportunity to meet and discuss concepts and policies, to attend seminars and attend a number of forums and board meetings, including the CEPI annual meeting on 24 and 25 November.

The participating organisations include:

- CEPIFINE (Confederation of European Fine Paper Industries);
- EUCEPA (European Technical Liaison Committee for Pulp and Paper);
- EUROKRAFT (the Association for craft sack paper producers in Europe);
- EUROSAC (European Federation of Multiwall Paper Sack Manufacturers);
- ETS (European Tissue Symposium);
- KRAFT Institute (A European paper industry association of corrugated case materials, container boards, and primarily based on a primary fibre furnish).
