‘SEE Solar’ - South-East European Exhibition on Solar PV and Thermal Technologies

The SEE Solar Exhibition is one of the prominent b2b events is the Region devoted to solar PV and thermal technologies.

5 March 2014 - 7 March 2014
Austria
'SEE Solar' will meet manufacturers, installers, investors, designers, consultants and end-users in the South-East Europe, Central and Western Europe. In line with recent trends, the 2014 edition will put the focus on the building-integrated photovoltaics and autonomous solar systems in industrial and residential buildings, energy storage products, as well as innovative home appliances.

The 2013 Issue at a Glance

Austrian Pavilion for the 4th consecutive year
Group participation of companies from Italy and Slovenia within the project ICON
Among the exhibitors were leading Bulgarian and foreign companies: Ecoel, Elprom Trafo, Eurosol, Filkab, Hermes Solar, IPS / International Power Supply, Krannich Solar, Motto Engineering, Chint Solar (Zhejiang), Sky Solar, Solar Ways, Sputnik Engineering AG (Solarmax), STS Solar, Sunrain Solar Energy, Yingkou Jinchen Machinery, etc.
Solar energy keeps a leading position in the renewable energy mix as a reliable, inexhaustible and environmentally friendly source. In terms of the electricity production coming from new generators, PV ranked second with almost 30% after wind energy in 2012. The world’s cumulative capacity is capable of producing as much annual electrical energy as 16 coal power plants or nuclear reactors of 1 GW each and every year these installations save more than 53 million tons of CO2 according to the EPIA Global Market Outlook for Photovoltaics 2013-2017.

Intensive evolution of solar technologies determinate the emergence of the 'prosumers' = (producer + consumer). The consumers will become energy producers which will optimize their direct consumption ratio and the cost of electricity transmission. Experts identify this market segment as the future of photovoltaics.

South-Europe has a very good solar potential and contribute significantly to the global energy system transformation.
