The conference ‘Human Health in the Face of Climate Change: Science, Medicine, and Adaptation’ will take place from 14 to 15 May in Barcelona, Spain.

Organised by the New York Academy of Sciences along with the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation and BIOCAT, this multidisciplinary conference brings together climate scientists, atmospheric/oceanic scientists, ecologists, evolutionary biologists, epidemiologists, public health specialists, and policy-makers, among others. It will highlight the latest research on climate change and its subsequent effects on human health, including vulnerability due to extreme weather events, land-use change and agricultural production, variable epidemiology of parasites and infectious diseases, and climate-altering pollutants.

The deadline for submission of poster and short talk abstracts is 18 March. Registration fees paid before 10 April range from approximately EUR 220 to approximately EUR 620.
