Europe for Business will hold an intensive training on Horizon 2020 at TECPAR Technological Center, Brasil.

Horizon2020 is the most ambitious program promoted by the EU in the field of international cooperation and research, with an overall budget of 70 billion euros. Much of the funding will be made available for projects that will be able to implement research and find a practical application on the market, bridging the gap between theoretical research and production, and improve cooperation between partners from different countries.
Compared to previous Framework Programmes (FP6 and FP7) Horizon2020 will be much more competitive, as the knowledge has spread and potential participants have increased in recent years, due to the economic crisis and the consequent reduction of other traditional forms of funding for research and innovation.
For these reasons the training that EFB will provide to TECPAR on Horizon 2020 will be essential to strengthen the competitive position of a major research center in Brazil in view of the upcoming calls.
The technology center TECPAR is highly specialized in the fields of Energy, ICT, Agribusiness, Health and Environment, and so the training program will focus on the following activities:
• Support the participation of TECPAR in H2020;
• Provide participants with the knowledge necessary to participate in a call for proposals and select partners;
• Provide practical support on call closer to the research areas of TECPAR, particularly in the Societal Challenges category of Horizon 2020;
• Increasing thematic related intellectual property, technological transfer, management innovation.
