BIOSET - performance of waste water treatment works

BIOSET, 'A technical meeting on biosensors for evaluation of the performance of waste water treatment works', will be held in Barcelona, Spain, from 5 to 7 April 2000.

The meeting is intended to provide a forum for progress in the implementation of biosensors in this field. The meeting will evaluate the relative merits of effect-type biosensors to determine endocrine-disrupting substances or different types of toxicity, and analyte-based biosensors to determine other types of analytes present in waste waters.

The outcome of the meeting will be published in scientific journals and a detailed report will be made available through BIOSET.
