The European Commission's Space Applications Institute (SAI) will hold a workshop on 'Population Security - the role of spatial information' on 23 and 24 March 2000 at the Joint Research Centre in Ispra, Italy.

The workshop aim is to gather together interested participants to talk about proven applications that help to address policy areas in this field. The SAI's new project on population dynamics and security will also be presented alongside the activities of the SSSA Unit's MOLAND and Kosovo projects

The agenda for the workshop will be available from the Centre for Earth Observation's website at http://www.ceo.org/(opens in new window) as soon as it is finalised.

Ideas of topics and presentations are also welcome from interested participants.
