1993 International Conference on Nuclear Waste Management and Environmental Remediation
This prestigious event is organized with the cooperation of the Commission of the European Communities by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Czech and Slovak Mechanical Engineering Societies and the Czech and Slovak Nuclear Societies, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. It is sponsored by the ASME and its Nuclear Engineering Division (NED), and co-sponsored by the American Nuclear Society, the Atomic Energy Society of Japan, the Canadian Nuclear Society, the (former USSR's) Nuclear Society and the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.
The 1993 Conference is the fourth in a series of biennial international conferences on nuclear waste management. Its principal objective is to facilitate a truly international exchange of information on the management of nuclear wastes as well as on contaminated facilities and sites resulting from nuclear operations.
