FP7 laser project to feature at international conference

ISLA’s work relates to the development of components for fibre laser technology. Its conference session will be held on 16 February (08.30 – 10.00) under the title: ‘2µm Laser Components: European ISLA Program’.
Papers to be presented promise to cover the following technical issues: Acousto-optic devices for operation with 2µm fibre lasers; Broadband saturable absorber mirrors; and Thulium-doped silica fibers optimised for high lasing efficiency.
The conference has been organised by SPIE, the International Society for Optics and Photonics.
