19th International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA 2015)

The automobile of the future has to respond to two trends, electrification and automation. These trends not only lead to a greener and safer driving but redefine the concept of the car completely and interact in synergy. The 19th International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA 2015) 'Smart Systems for Green and Automated Driving' to be held from 7 to 8 July 2015 in Berlin will consider these topics from a conceptual and technical perspective.

7 July 2015 - 8 July 2015
Austria
The AMAA 2015 conference will be opened with speeches by Willy Van Puymbroeck, Head of Unit Components, DG CNECT, European Commission and Stefan Mengel, Head of Unit Electronic Systems and Electric Mobility, Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Germany). Further keynote speakers include Remi Bastien (Renault), Patrice Reilhac (Valeo) and Fabio Marchio (ST Microelectronics) among others.

A panel on the recently published EPoSS Roadmap on Automated Driving (http://www.smart-systems-integration.org/public/news-events/news/eposs-roadmap-smart-systems-for-automated-driving-now-published) will discuss evolutionary and revolutionary development paths. Furthermore, the conference will look beyond technology and into the relation between IOT, robotics and cognitive systems of green, automated and connected driving by keynotes about the PAN-Robots project by Kay Fürstenberg (SICK), AIOTI by Marko Haeckel (Bosch) and Smart Systems for CO2 Reduction by Thomas Gallner (Continental). Legal aspects of autonomous driving will be covered by Gaelle Kermorgant (ALFRATEC).

Latest developments in technology will be covered by a multitude of interesting technical contributions on the topics ADAS and automated driving, C2X and ITS and green vehicle electronic systems and concepts. Last but not least, a session on global opportunities and European clusters in electric mobility will inform on selected international markets and supply chains and strategies of European clusters.

The AMAA 2015 is co-organised by the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration (EPoSS). A book with papers written by AMAA speakers and poster presenters will appear in the Lecture Notes in Mobility Book Series prior to the conference, see www.springer.com/series/11573
