The EU-funded C-IPM project will be jointly hosting a workshop on ‘Breeding for Integrated Pest Management’ with The Plant Breeding and Acclimatisation Institute (IHAR), National Research Institute of Poland, from 4 to 6 July 2016.
4 July 2016 - 6 July 2016
Breeding for crops that are resistant to pests is one tool that can be used in integrated pest management. This practice can reduce the use of pesticides.
The organisers are putting together a programme that will focus on breeding, combining available techniques and measures to foster IPM, and gaining an overview of what is currently available and which bottlenecks there are in terms of breeding and IPM in general.
