About INNOVABONE
With the aim of developing biomaterials for bone repair, the project started 4 years ago under the coordination of Oskar Hoffmann from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Vienna. There are 14 partners spread across Europe (Austria, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain) that have integrated several fields of expertise in bone biology, orthopedic medicine, materials science, polymer chemistry, synthetic biology, nanoparticle engineering, non-invasive imaging technology, experimental allergy, immunology, toxicology and cross-cutting issues to fulfil the aim of the project.
