MOPACT final conference

The EU-funded MOPACT project will be hosting its final conference in Brussels, Belgium, on 29 November 2016.

The MOPACT Final Conference will present the findings of the MOPACT project and propose the policies to make ageing a social and economic asset for Europe.

During this one-day conference MOPACT will present its proposals for rethinking ageing across the five main dimensions of economic and social impact:

- Economic and financial consequences of ageing
- Societal structures, civil society and cohesion
- Social support, long-term care and quality of life in an ageing society
- Built and technological environment and the silver economy
- Health and well-being, biological ageing and the boundaries of frailty

Chaired by Frank Vandenbroucke, former Belgian Minister of Social Policy, the opening speech will be delivered by Commissioner Marianne Thyssen, DG Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility.
