REFRESH Food Waste 2017 Conference

The multi-stakeholder conference will gather champions of food waste reduction and valorisation, and include presentations, discussions, interactive sessions and networking events with REFRESH researchers. Alongside these, participants will be inspired to re-think the issue of food waste with a performance by a theatre group, a food art installation and a catering concept that supports a sustainable food system.
The Conference will feature an Innovators’ Fair, where food waste innovators will present their projects and insights with a poster or stand and in collaboration with the Food Surplus Entrepreneurs Network, REFRESH will bring food waste innovators and experts together at a ‘Food Waste Innovation Incubator Day’ to learn from each other and develop solutions to food waste issues in the food chain.
The event will be held at the Umweltforum in Berlin, an innovative and sustainable event space.
The overall aim of the REFRESH project is to contribute significantly towards the objective of reducing food waste across the EU by 30% by 2025.
