The 30th October 2015 abstracts submission deadline for the EUBCE 2016 has passed with great success with a record of more than 1000 contributions received from 73 countries by more than 3500 authors and co-authors. This number marks an increase in abstracts submitted of 20% in comparison with the 2015 Conference in Vienna (805 abstracts).

More than 30% of the contributions have been submitted from countries outside Europe with an increase of about 35% in abstracts received from the Asia-Pacific region and Latin-South American regions from the previous edition.
Turkey is participating with +70% more abstracts and Scandinavian countries with +50%.

Biorefineries and biobased products is this year’s most chosen topic. There has also been a strong response to Biomass potentials, Gasification for energy and syngas production, Pyrolysis and Environmental Impacts.

Such an important and high professional level of international exchange confirms once again the EUBCE’s status as the world’s leading biomass conference covering the full range of biomass knowledge and technologies.
Whatever your biomass interest is, the EUBCE offers what you are looking for.

The abstracts are currently being reviewed and scored by the EUBCE International Programme Committee made up of 145 biomass research and industry experts in order to set up a well-balanced Conference Programme and to provide the world’s highest quality of presentations.
