Applied Mathematics Techniques Workshop

As a follow up to the recently completed EU-funded STRIKE project, project members will run a workshop at the Lorentz Centre in Leiden, the Netherlands, from 18 to 22 September.

18 September 2017 - 22 September 2017
Leiden, Netherlands
This workshop, focussed on Energy Markets in Transition, will concentrate on three themes. These are; ‘Risk management issues related to the energy transition’, ‘Energy derivatives facilitating the energy transition’ and ‘Decisions for demand flexibilisation in energy intensive industry.’

The format will include discussions between experts in the fields of applied mathematics, computer science (heuristic algorithms, big data and machine learning), as well as economics (the impact of a major transition).

The workshop is organised by three former members of the EU-funded STRIKE (Novel Methods in Computational Finance) project and will build on the mathematical techniques developed in that project.
