International Conference ‘Reduction of water consumption in Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants’

The EU-funded MinWaterCSP project will be hosting a conference in Marrakech, Morocco on 24 & 25 April, 2018.

24 April 2018 - 25 April 2018
Marrakech, Morocco
The theme of the MinWaterCSP project’s first International Conference is ‘Reduction of water consumption in Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants’. The special focus of the two-day event is new approaches to mirror cleaning, cooling system solutions and overall plant performance simulations. The aim is to present and discuss new technological solutions to minimise water consumption at CSP plants, provide valuable insights into related innovative solutions, and to create networking opportunities

Over the course of seven sessions the challenges of realising significant reductions in water consumption at CSP plants will be addressed. The conference is of particular interest to power plant operators, power utilities stakeholders, technology suppliers and researchers interested in CSP operations. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the demo site at Green Park Energy at Ben Guerir.

The MinWaterCSP (Citizen Led Air pollution Reduction in Cities) project has the primary objective of advancing the means to reduce evaporation losses and mirror cleaning water usage for small- and large-scale CSP plants through a holistic combination of next-generation technologies in related fields.
