"Future Materials" - Light.Touch.Matters final symposium @TU Delft - IDE LTM consortium is very proud to announce the project's public final event “Future Materials – how design shapes the materials of tomorrow”:Delft University of Technology | June 17th 2016, 12.00 | Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering [IDE]The symposium is dedicated to innovative materials and combines project LTM's final event with consortium member Kaspar Jansen's inaugural lecture as professor of Emerging Materials. 17 June 2016 - 17 June 2016 Netherlands © TU Delft Light.Touch.Matters is a unique design-driven materials innovation project creating new smart materials that combine touch sensitivity with luminosity. This one-of-a-kind project is funded by the European Commission and based on cooperation between product designers and materials scientists, joined in a consortium of 17 partners from 9 EU countries. The project started in February 2013 and has now reached the final phase, presenting its achievements in terms of developed materials, refined design concepts and its very own methodology. At the final event "Future Materials" the project activities of the past three years will be presented, showcasing the final outcomes in terms of developed "LTM materials" [the flexible and transparent OLEDs, the lead free piezo polymers] and their combined integration in dedicated design concepts. Moreover, also the project's theoretical side will be present introducing the several PhD studies conducted within the project and LTM's very own methodology: the "White Book".Attendance is free, please register here: http://www.io.tudelft.nl/actueel/congressen-en-symposia/future-materials/ Keywords materials, design, OLED, piezo, touch, light, touchsensitive
