5G Advanced: The Next Evolution Step of 5G NR The EU-funded ONE5G and 5G-Xcast projects will be organising a workshop in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on December 13, 2018. 13 December 2018 - 13 December 2018 Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates ONE5G and 5G-Xcast, funded under the Horizon 2020 Industrial Leadership programme, will host a joint workshop as part of the IEEE Global Communications Conference, taking place in Abu Dhabi, December 13–19, 2018. The event will target papers addressing features relevant to 5G advanced research from academia and industry that fully achieve or surpass 3GPP and ITU requirements.A special session titled ‘The Local Impact of 5G’ will also take place in the framework of the joint workshop.
