The ITACA Final Conference on "Satellite Remote Sensing Technology in Underwater Archaeology", to be held in Athens on June 24th, 2016 at the prestigious venue of the Hellenic Maritime Museum, will be presenting the results of the ITACA (Innovation Technologies and Applications for Coastal Archaeological sites) project.

ITACA aims to prove a web-based management system for underwater archaeological sites in coastal regions combining the most advanced techniques of high resolution satellite images elaboration with processing algorithms integrated into the Web GIS. All the technologies are optimised for archaeological use, thus enabling the provision of a location and monitoring service for underwater archaeological sites in coastal zones.

The Final Conference is organised by the Hellenic Institute of Maritime Archaeology, one of the partners of the ITACA project.

All interested individuals are invited to participate and to spread the word amongst their other colleagues.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. Please register to the following link: http://www.itaca-fp7.eu/itaca-international-final-conference/
