The Workshop

This workshop is aimed at project coordinators, managers and administrators of collaborative research and innovation projects under Horizon 2020. It will show them how to:
• prepare for managing the project: establishing the rules and processes for decision taking, creating a quality process to check deliverables, use of management websites and email lists to support communication, draft a project handbook plus templates for meeting agendas and reports, deliverables, and partner progress reports.
• interact with the European Commission in submitting progress reports and deliverables, gaining approval and payment, preparing for technical reviews and amending the grant agreement
• work with the consortium to keep the project on schedule, submit reports on time, transfer budgets and work, handle poorly performing partners, and control the EU cash flow.

The workshop focuses on projects in the Societal Challenges and Enabling & Industrial Technologies areas of H2020. Note: those requiring information on the financial aspects of H2020 should attend one of our finance workshops.

Workshop leader

The Workshop will be led by Paul Drath of Singleimage. Paul has extensive experience of EU research programmes gained over the last twenty-eight years, as proposal evaluator, project reviewer and participant or coordinator in nineteen EU funded projects. He has lectured on EU research to audiences from every EU Member State and Associated country, and from Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine. He is frequently invited to speak at events relating to EU research funding organised by H2020 National Contact Points, associations and foundations, as well as individual universities and institutes.

Workshop Venue: The Møller Centre, Cambridge, UK

This workshop will be held at The Møller Centre, Churchill College, Storey’s Way, Cambridge,
CB3 0DE which is located about 2 kilometres from Cambridge city centre. London Stansted is the nearest large airport.
