DEMOS scholars at University of Turin (UNITO, Italy) and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (AMU, Poland) will deliver presentations on media populism at the conference Political Communication in the Digital Media Ecosystem, organized by the Italian Association of Political Communication (AssoComPol), between December 12 and 14.

Departing from the concept of "media populism", Giuliano Bobba and Antonella Seddone, from UNITO, will explain their "media populism indexes", which they tested in Italy. Agnieszka Stępińska, from AMU, deepens the analysis of populist political communication in Europe during the 2019 European Parliamentary Elections by using Facebook data from 12 EU countries. She sought to investigate how populist leaders use social media to communicate with citizens.
