About our speakers:
Conor Carmody is an experienced business leader with over 30 years’ experience in Ireland and internationally. Conor is a specialist in the areas of strategy and commercial development. Conor started his career in the Retail industry in Ireland and subsequently moved to Moscow, where he was responsible for the setup and development of an International Retail Business. On his return to Ireland Conor was responsible for the development of the Commercial strategy for the successful launch of Meteor Mobile Communications in 2001. Following the sale of that business, Conor was responsible for the development of the eMobile brand for Eircom in 2010 and subsequently worked at Vodafone as Marketing Director. Conor received his MBA from the UCD Smurfit School of Business in 2010 and was made a Fellow of the Marketing Institute of Ireland in 2009.
Javier Echarri joined EBN as its CEO in 2017 and has since then contributed to opening the network to all other stakeholders in the innovation market. Javier’s background is investment in early and growth stages. He managed the Invest Europe (Private Equity and Venture Capital Association) for 11 years, was managing director of a growth capital firm for four years and remains actively involved in the Basque Region’s business angel community which he helped set up. Javier combined the investment activity with his interest in impact investing and has been Board member of the European Venture Philanthropy Association for 8 years, among other initiatives.

On the 1st of April 2020, 1500+ stakeholders active in the tech and entrepreneurial ecosystems will gather at FutureScope in the Convention Centre in Dublin to explore the implications of emerging technologies. Business leaders will share insights on the challenges coming down the track, how emerging technologies will impact business and society, the market opportunities that will arise and the implications of disruption and innovation. FutureScope attracts innovators and innovation seekers. It aims to identify collaboration opportunities between start-ups, scale-ups, tech multinationals, innovative Irish enterprise, the research community and investors.
