East meets West in interactive multimedia

The second annual summit dedicated to East-West collaboration on the development of interactive media will be held at Lake Balaton, Hungary, on 6 to 9 May.

Organised by the European Commission's Information Society Directorate-General and EPIFOCAL, the Open Society Institute, the event is designed to facilitate the interaction and contact between potential project partners from East and West Europe.

The main conference themes will include:

- education, libraries and culture;
- business to business services: content and services;
- business to business services: technologies and software;
- applications based on public sector data;
- information services;
- technology applications including mobile systems and services.

Industry mentors will be on hand throughout the event for free, pre-bookable, one-to-one sessions. Advice will be offered on the following topics: strategy and marketing; business planning and proposal writing; legal matters; working with the European Commission sponsor presentations.
