Transatlantic ICT Forum Workshop Brussels, 16-17 November

DISCOVERY is organising the Transatlantic ICT Forum Workshop in Brussels on 16-17, November, 2016. The goal of this two-day event is to create a dynamic environment for networking, business dialogues and policy debates between both sides of the Atlantic. This two-day Transatlantic ICT Forum Workshop will comprise a combination of panel sessions around DISCOVERY Working Groups themes and interactive breakout sessions, which are both designed to spark dialogues about transatlantic collaboration in ICT research and innovation. The goal is to create a dynamic environment for networking, business dialogues and policy debates between both sides of the Atlantic.

The Transatlantic ICT Forum is established as a platform to support policy debate and provide opinions and recommendations to transatlantic dialogues for ICT R&I cooperation between Europe and North America (US and Canada). The Forum focuses on funding mechanisms for ICT R&I, ICT policy and regulations and cybersecurity and it is composed by European, US and Canada’s experts in the subject matters. Currently, +35 experts are members of the Transatlantic ICT Forum.

Topics addressed in the workshop:

- Digital Economy Trends, capital market financing and IPR
- Research on the wider scope of Cybersecurity
- How to promote best practices and what are current obstacles in joint ICT collaboration between Europe, the US and Canada

Who will attend:

- DISCOVERY partners, members of the Transatlantic ICT Forum, EC representatives, collaborators from other H2020 projects are expected to attend the workshop
- ICT industry leaders seeking transatlantic partnership, in particular in cybersecurity, IoT and smart cities
- Researchers looking for international funding schemes
- Policy makers keen on facilitating transatlantic ICT collaborations through ICT policy and regulations
- Entrepreneurs, innovators and all interested in international networking
