In this 2-day live online workshop - Enspire Science offers “ERC Basics” & “ERC Beyond” workshops to help researchers or Research Managers & Funding Advisors best prepare for this highly competitive funding opportunity. This two-part workshop is a great opportunity to master the basic requirements as well as the more elusive and conceptual aspects of the ERC grant.
About each ERC workshop:
Day 1 - ERC Basics: 10AM - 2PM
In this workshop, we cover everything you need to know about the technical aspects of ERC. This includes all essential information from the official documentation and EC resources: the ERC Work Program, ERC Guide for Applicants, the ERC website and the online submission system, as well as important tips based on our years of hands-on experience with thousands of ERC proposals. Therefore, this workshop is ideal for potential ERC applicants who are not yet familiar with this grant and would like to learn more about it. In our experience, understanding ERC technicalities is a step that applicants tend to skip, however, by doing so they are missing crucial information which can directly affect the eligibility and competitiveness of the grant application.
Day 2 - ERC Beyond: 10 AM - 4PM
This workshop conveys to participants information that is beyond the ERC guide for applicants. During the workshop, we accelerate past the “ERC Basics” to the counterintuitive, elusive and conceptual parts of the ERC grant. Having worked with thousands of ERC applicants, we know how to decipher the counterintuitive “excellence” essence (the sole criterion within the ERC work program), as well as additional “unwritten” rules for ERC success. This workshop is fit for first-time ERC applicants with a basic understanding of the ERC funding scheme or researchers that are re-submitting, as well as for Research Funding Advisors.
