DECOME09 to be held in Brussels

The ninth DELTA Consultation Meeting (DECOM09) will be held in Brussels on 14-15 June 1993.

These meetings, which are attended by all DELTA project coordinators, take place approximately every two months. Future meetings are planned for 13-14 September and 15-16 November this year. Responsible persons from other Community programmes are invited to attend.

As well as the DELTA "Open line to projects", involving the Project Officers, the agenda of the two-day June meeting includes on:
- Satellite-based delivery of engineering educational courses;
- Report on the DELTA Canadian Mission;
- The influence of national and European policy initiatives and environment on OFDL implementation;
- Revisiting European policy initiatives in the training field;
- Sketching national and European policies and environment, intermediary steps;
- Parallel discussion groups on the influence of the policy initiatives and environment on DELTA projects implementation.

Parallel sessions for special interest groups will cover:
- Virtual reality (future potential);
- Communications technologies as delivery mechanisms for FDL;
- ALT in the banking sector (bringing pilot sites together);
- Seminar on evaluating pedagogic efficiency (project ARTICULATE)

A meeting is also planned for 15 June on the subject of the telematic based training conference involving Eutelsat to take place on 26-27 October 1993.
