The GLOBAQUA project is organising a workshop on Modelling for freshwater related ecosystem services, on 17th to 20th July 2017 at the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA) in Girona (Spain). The workshop targets researchers at any stage in their professional career, as well as water managers interested in the modelling of freshwater-related ecosystem services in coupled socio-environmental systems.
17 July 2017 - 20 July 2017
The workshop will introduce the basic principles of modelling of freshwater-related ecosystem services. During the workshop, participants will be able to co-develop their own case-study modelling exercise with the help of the lecturers. The mornings will be devoted to theory sessions; whereas the afternoons will be devoted to the implementation of the learned concepts into the individual case-studies. This stepwise approach will ensure that participants assimilate the basics of modelling of freshwater-related ecosystem services in coupled socio-environmental systems.
