Commission seeks nano-progress from best researchers
The conference follows on from similar conferences held on the subject, helping to coordinate Europe's expertise in the field. Supported by the European Commission, the informal conference is limited to 100 researchers.
The Commission would particularly like to attract researchers who work in a less favoured region, who are women, who work in the industry or who are under 35. Funding for researchers to attend is provided under the training and mobility of researchers (TMR) programme.
The themes discussed at the event will be
- putting science into self-assembly
- towards nanoscale biological sensors
- nanocomposite optoelectronic materials
- translating biochemical recognition into biomechanics
