Meet in Italy for Life Sciences (MIT4LS2017)

The 2017 edition is organized by several partners, among which Confindustria Piemonte and the regional innovation hub in the healthcare sector, BioPmed, managed by Bioindustry Park Silvano Fumero S.p.A the Piedmont Region, Torino Chamber of Commerce, the National Life Sciences Cluster, ALISEI, some of their members, national and international members of Enterprise Europe Network and Fit for Health 2.0.
The event is designed to facilitate meetings among a large community of stakeholders and decision makers including: companies, health centers and research laboratories, investors and notably regional authorities and program managers trade associations, clusters, technology parks, incubators, university clinics, etc. MIT4LS2017 offers high visibility and opportunities for businesses and networking, creating dedicated fora for dialogue between national and international, public and private stakeholders, by networking research-driven innovation.
Sectors involved in "Meet in Italy for Life Sciences"
• Biotechnologies,
• Medical devices,
• Pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals,
• ICT for health,
• Related services and activities.
Given the specific features and excellence of Piedmont in two specific areas of innovation, for the 2017 edition the topics of aerospace and sport will be introduced as “cross-fertilisation” areas, with specific reference to aspects of prevention, remote management, personalised treatment and healthy lifestyles.
Structure of the event
The structure of the event is divided into the following elements:
• Brokerage event (B2B) - 11 and 12 October 2017
Bilateral face-to-face meetings: 11-12 October (10.00-18.00)
Deadlines: Registration and profiles: September 30th / Meeting bookings: October 4th
• Italian Healthcare Venture Forum (IHVF) - 11 and 12 October 2017
In the framework of the MIT4LS 2017 general event, the Turin Chamber of commerce supported by the project Fit for Health 2.0 will also organise a special Venture Forum dedicated to 20 Start-up/emerging companies in the life science domain, that will be selected in cooperation with Techtour and which will profit from a special mentorship course and meetings with international investors and Venture Capitalists.
The participation to IHVF is free of charge only for companies already registered to MIT4LS 2017 event.
