An information day organised by the Energy and Transport DG on 'targeted action on Galileo', part of the European Commission's Fifth Framework programme is to be held in Brussels on 15 January.
The event will see a presentation of results from the definition phase of the satellite radio navigation system as well as plans for the validation and development phase. Advice on proposal preparation will also be presented.
In the afternoon, parallel sessions on local elements definition, the impact of interoperability on system definition, standardisation, the development and optimal use of satellite navigation for all modes of transport, detailed service analysis and the regulatory framework for GALILEO will take place.For further information, please contact:
